Gaultheria mucronata - 1.5 litre

This bushy, dense shrub has prickly, glossy, dark-green leaves and small, urn-shaped, white flowers in late spring and early summer. These are followed by round berries, the colour of which varies with different cultivars. It is not a reliably hardy shrub and needs warm sunny sites to do well. In the wild, it inhabits forests in Patagonia alongside various southern beeches.
